I've been doing this for over 20 years, and the bit I still love most is the moment right before someone realises what's just happened - that split-second where their face changes. I perform right in your guests' hands, not from a stage, so I get to see that moment up close, over and over, all night.

I fit into the gaps most entertainment can't reach - the drinks reception, the lull between courses, the bit of the night when people are stood around with a glass in hand not quite sure what to do with themselves. That's where I do my best work, and it's usually what people are still talking about at the next family gathering.
